It would seem the party has come to an end in Germany, as German authorities have come out saying they seized almost 5 metric tons of cocaine, at a total of over $1.11 billion in a record-breaking drug haul in Hamburg.
The containers, which were claimed to be holding soybeans, from Uruguay turned out to be a the facade of drug haul right under the German Law enforcement’s notice. But the wit of justice is keen, and sooner or later, it will come.
“This outstanding success proves once again how powerfully German customs fight crime,” Rolf Bösinger, state secretary of the Federal Ministry of Finances said.
The cocaine has since been destroyed.
