From a study by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the conclusion has been released that we are looking at 153 cases of lung disease found in people who use e-cigarettes or vapes. The study ranged between 16 states over the course of 2 months, June 28th to August 20th.
It might be time to hang up the vapes as a relatively high number of lung disease cases have come up over the span of only a couple of months. Symptoms appear to start off as difficulty/ shortness of breath and chest pain. There are even some cases involving gastrointestinal illness.
Although the CDC has not yet made a claim to the cause, it stands to show that the bulk of these cases are from people who vape or use e-cigs and especially in cases involving THC, the oil found in Marijuana. Although infectious disease has been ruled out of the cause. The cases are among young adults and adolescents, which does not come as much of a surprise as most vapers out there are not even old enough to drive.
