Top 5 Underrated Games of All Time!

top 5 underrated games
In todays count-down we are going to list the 5 most underrated games of all time.

Today I am looking at what I consider to be the Top 5 Under Rated/Overlooked Games! These are five games that I had a lot of fun with and games I think more people would if they gave them a chance or perhaps even a second chance after not initially liking them. I would love to know what games you feel are under rated and deserve more attention.

1. DMC: Devil May Cry

DMC: Devil May Cry

Some people just could not look past how different, Dante looked to give this game a fair chance! If they had played it until the end then I am sure they would have been pleased with how the game turned out. I honestly think that, DMC is the best game in the whole, Devil May Cry series. This reboot by Ninja Theory has a great story and even better game play. I was really hopeful that when the game was released for the PS4 and Xbox One it would see the game get more attention, but sadly it did not. This can be found very cheaply even on the current gen consoles and I highly recommend you try it out.

4. Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet

This was seen as a super hero game for the kiddies and was overshadowed by the Lego Batman and later released, Lego Marvel Super Heroes. But, Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet is one hell of a fun and forgotten game. It is a light hearted take on the Marvel Universe just like the TV show it is based on. It has a ton of characters and is made even more fun when you play it with a friend. The game is not too hard, but the game play is tight with quite a lot of variety with characters having their own special abilities, Hulk can smash, Spidey can make web trampolines for example. If you want a fun game to waste a few hours with or something to play with your kids or a younger siblings then track this down.

3. Sonic Colors

Now those who have played this game through know how amazing it is, but sadly when this game was released many were still untrusting of modern, Sonic The Hedgehog games. As a result despite great reviews and the fact it was a Wii exclusive. Far too many people did not give the game the love that it deserves. Sonic Colors is the best of the modern Sonic The Hedgehog games (it topped my top 5 Sonic list) and it is a game that I think would be amazing if it were to ever be released for the Xbox One or Playstation 4. This is near the top of my list of must own Wii games!

2. WWF Wrestlemania The Arcade Game

Now please note the actual arcade game is the way to go as it’s the best version, but mainly I am talking about the Playstation and Saturn version here. This was brought to us by Midway games and it was like Mortal Kombat and the WWE got together and had a baby. This is not a wrestling game it is a fighting game set in the world of the WWE.

These days many do see the brilliance of this game, but back in 1995 I remember the game not being liked by some wrestling fans for not being a proper wrestling game and not liked by non-wrestling fans because they thought it was just another wrestling game! This is a fun game to play with each of the eight characters feeling like a true individual. No matter if you love or hate wrestling you will have a great time with this game.

Holy crap!!!!! In a just world this game would have been a huge seller and brought this franchise back to life, but for some reason the game was panned by critics. Now a few years have passed and I still wonder why? Splatterhouse is a riot of a game. It is over the top violent, full of gore and foul language, it is a button mashing ass kicking game…… but these things it was criticized for, what did people expect from a Splatterhouse game? I had so much fun with this game… so much I have beaten it about five times. The best thing about the Splatterhouse reboot was the story. If you are a horror fan then you will fall in love with the story as it is so well written and voice acted. You can pick this up for next to nothing on PS3 and Xbox 360 and I highly recommend that you do.
