Hasbro Toy Company Buys Death Row Records


It appears like another change in ownership for Death Row Records as possibly the biggest toy company in the game, Hasbro has decided to purchase the infamous record label company.

Announced on Thursday, Hasbro, home to some of our favorite toys and games like Monopoly and Power Rangers, made the purchase of Entertainment One, the labeling company that brought famous artists like 2Pac, Snopp Dogg, and Dr. Dre into the spotlight.

The rough history of Death Row Records starts in 2006 when it filed for bankruptcy and then again in 2009 when it was auctioned for $18 by WIDEawake Entertainment. in 2018 it was bought by Entertainment One.

“The aquisition of eOne adds beloved story-led global family brands that deliver strong operating returns to Hasbro’s portfolio and provides a pipeline of new bran creation driven by family-oriented storytelling,” said Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner.
