Amazon recently announces that today will be ending this practice; of using tips to pay the flex driver’s wages. Where the payment for the deliveries Will be fully paid by Amazon; and the tips will directly go to drivers on top of their base pay. In case there is confusion on how tips work; clearly amazon did not understand the concept at first.

This new policy starts today and Amazon employees will be paid $15 per hour and even more; based on what location and demand of the location Plus hundred percent of the tips. Where is a text won’t be in addition to the base pay instead of being apart of it.
The minimum pay Amazon will pay would be between $15-$19 per scheduled hour originally; they promised to pay between $18 and $25 on the flex website where it is not clear; what is coming from compensation and what is coming from tips. Which means they technically used to pay less than $15 dollars without the tips. The company is also updating their employee’s apps where it will show in detail compensation and tips in separate rows
